Who We Are
We began our relationship after a phone call and a meeting in one of our home kitchens to taste coffee. At that time, we existed as two separate companies, Harbor City Coffee Roasters, and Bloom Coffee Works. Our relationship has grown over this time and led us to where we are now, 2.5 years later. As of January 1, 2018, we have officially merged our two companies to form Bloom City Coffee Company LLC.
Although we began our journey into coffee in very different ways, we were ultimately led to the same place. As coffee roasters, we started out roasting in a pan on our kitchen stove years ago... Crazy right?! Needless to say, we now enjoy the quality and workmanship of the San Franciscan Roaster to roast and profile all of our coffees.
As baristas, we began at local and chain coffee shops in California and here in Texas. We have always loved the pursuit of quality and efficiency in every cup we brew.
For all of us, there is no doubt that our passion to roast and brew the perfect cup of coffee comes from a deep well of commitment to be the best we can be! And underneath it all, we have always known that God brought us together for the reason of setting our hearts to change the world, one relationship at a time.
The Mission
Our goal with Bloom City Coffee Company is to affect the global community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As our business grows, our heart's aim is to purchase land, washing stations and coffee farms, to help provide sustainable living for people in impoverished countries.
Our hope is to provide necessities like clean water, food, homes and chapels for people around the world. In this kind of environment, they would be able to live, worship the Lord, and have their lives changed the way ours were. It's our desire for all people to experience the love of Jesus Christ.
At Bloom City Coffee Company, we seek to be "a city set on a hill."
Matt 5: 14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
